Oh, Jo!! I never had this happen while my children were little, but I’ve seen some *little victims*. Hope the damage wasn’t too serious.

Oh crap. Did you cry before or after you yelled at her?

Oh No! How much hair does she have left? I did this once when I was a kid. I decided to make my bangs continue back to over my ears. It looked lovely!

How bad is it?

Ummmm just a reminder……… it’s unfortunately not only 3 year olds that do this……… 11 year olds do it too…….. but to each other.

How bad is the damage? Did you have to quick run to the salon to have damage control done?

I am fortunate that my 4.5 year old have not pulled this on me or herself yet. One of her best friends did the same thing last year to her own long brown hair and the parents had to take her to the salon right away and she came out with a cute short bob cut.

My daughter once did that with a pair of baby nail clipping scissors ten minutes before I went on a week long conference. It was on the back of her head and I found her hiding under my bed sheets surrounded by blond hair. A year later she put a toy with moving parts on her head; it got stuck and I had to cut it from her head. It was the same spot as where she cut it the first time and has only now grown back.
