Shedir 2

My first Shedir sat on the shelf for a couple of months while I searched the world for a second ball in the same dye lot to knit the last 20 or 30 rows. This one I squeezed out of one ball. Consistent tension? Evidently not me.

Shedir 2

I spent most of the time I was knitting this Shedir wondering whether I could make a baby sized one by dropping two of the pattern repeats in a row to make the hat 6 segments instead of eight and also dropping one or two of the main cable pattern repeats. What do you think? It would be so soft and comfy for a baby to wear and so cute, don’t you think?

It’s lovely! Now that is cutting it close with the yarn!

Your hat is gorgeous! It would be great for a baby, you’re right, the Calmer is a joy! I haven’t read through the pattern, so I don’t know if it’s possible :).

It would look beautiful on a baby. I don’t see why you couldn’t modify the pattern.

Loely hat and I think it would be great for a baby!

This hat is gorgeous, I love it but too afraid to actually knit it, congrats on it! I think it would be perfectly sweet for a baby hat if it is doable!

Hi Jo!
Your second shedir turned out just as gorgeous as the first one. I’m glad you’re well enough again to knit a little. Can’t wait to see the progress on the little baby jacket, such a soft lovely color :-) I’ve been such a slacker poster and commenter lately but I’ve been thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way.
