woollen socks in the summer time

Wednesday, December 7, 2005

It was 40 degrees today, which is 104 for those of you in the US. And I put on woollen socks in the name of blogging. I must be mad.

Mata Hari Socks, toe up

Thank you all so very much for your kind words, I am sorry I haven’t replied personally yet, I really appreciated every one of your messages. As you can imagine the heat is not helping the state of my pregnancy symptoms. But as you can see all I needed to do to make a start on the second sock was declare I might never get there. Now that it’s started it is growing quite nicely. Not like the first one did, but hey, did I mention it’s 40 degrees here?

I’m sorry it’s so hot, I know that doesn’t help the nausea one bit. I hope you’re feeling better soon… and that it cools down a tad!

I’m wrapped in a blanket while the snow swirls outside. We’re never satisfied, are we? :-)

I adore those socks - must make a pair - so I’m glad you’re willing to don them in the heat to entice us!

It was an absolute stinker - it was 42 in Killara! When its that hot I can’t bring myself to knit - you are very committed.

The socks look great - thanks for suffering for the photo! :)

I can’t decide if I’d rather be there (at 104F) or here (4F - Minneapolis, MN, US). Hmm.
